Italian Grand Prix at Monza: tickets, paddock, where to stay

Tifosi weekend in September — paddock club, hotel scarcity, and the chauffeur sequence that avoids 4-hour parking.

5 min read

The Italian Grand Prix at Autodromo Nazionale Monza happens the first weekend of September. It is the fastest circuit on the F1 calendar and the spiritual home of Ferrari fans (Tifosi). The weekend transforms the Milan hotel market for four days.

Ticket tiers **Paddock Club** — pit lane access, hospitality on the start-finish straight, top floor. €5,500–€8,500 per person Sunday, €12,000–€18,000 for the full weekend. **Hospitality** (Brand suites, Energy team boxes) — €2,800–€4,500 per day. **Grandstand premium** (Parabolica, Curva Grande) — €1,200–€2,200 weekend. **General admission** — €350–€600 weekend.

Hotels Milan central hotels triple in price F1 weekend. Bulgari, Mandarin Oriental, Four Seasons sell out 5–6 months ahead. Brianza/Monza-area hotels (Villa Sant'Andrea, Hotel de la Ville Monza) are walkable to the circuit and book 8 months ahead.

How to actually arrive Driving yourself is impossible — circuit parking is mostly sold and traffic is gridlocked from 8 am. Our [Mercedes V-Class chauffeur](/atlas/private-transfer-milan-lake-como) drops at one of the four authorized hospitality entrances, then returns for pickup at a pre-agreed off-circuit point post-race.

What to wear Red. The Tifosi expect it on Sunday. Avoid wearing Mercedes or McLaren colours on race day (you will be heckled good-naturedly).

Pre/post race A pre-race [Quadrilatero day](/atlas/quadrilatero-della-moda-guide) in Milan Friday and [aperitivo](/atlas/milano-rooftop-aperitivo). Post-race dinner Sunday at any Brera trattoria.
