Milan has more Michelin stars than any Italian city outside the Langhe. The list is long; the list that matters is shorter.
Three stars **Enrico Bartolini al Mudec** (Via Tortona, 17:00 open) — three stars since 2020. Contemporary Italian, ingredient-led, set inside the MUDEC museum. The most technically accomplished restaurant in Milan. Tasting menu €260, book 6 weeks ahead.
Two stars **Seta** at Mandarin Oriental Milan — chef Antonio Guida, refined and personal, two stars and a strong shot at three. €200 tasting. **Andrea Aprea** — opened 2022, two stars in 2024, contemporary Neapolitan reading.
One stars — the working list **Cracco in Galleria** — Carlo Cracco's flagship, one star, the most central. The casual bistro on the ground floor is the entry point. **Trussardi alla Scala** — small dining room facing La Scala, one star, perfect pre-opera. **Berton** — Andrea Berton, Porta Nuova district, focused on broths and reductions. **Felix Lo Basso Home & Restaurant** — 12-seat counter, theatrical, one of the city's most personal experiences.
What to book for which occasion **Special celebration** — Enrico Bartolini or Seta. **Pre-theatre** — Trussardi alla Scala. **Business** — Cracco (the bistro for lunch, the restaurant for evening). **Foodie deep dive** — Felix Lo Basso, 4 hours at the counter.
