Montenapoleone vs Spiga vs Sant'Andrea: which luxury street is for you

A street-by-street breakdown of the Quadrilatero's four shopping streets.

4 min read

Tourists treat the Quadrilatero as one place. Locals shop one street at a time. Here's why.

Via Montenapoleone — the heavyweight Cartier, Bulgari, Hermès, Louis Vuitton, Loro Piana flagship, Prada, Gucci, Brunello Cucinelli, Pomellato. Wide, sunny, the most crowded. For first-time visitors and serious purchases.

Via della Spiga — the fashion street Tod's, Bottega Veneta, Dolce & Gabbana, Sergio Rossi, Roberto Cavalli. Narrower, more pedestrian, atmosphere closer to a Paris Marais lane. Best for fashion-forward pieces.

Via Sant'Andrea — the discreet one Chanel, Fendi, Armani Privé. The quietest of the four. The street to shop if you want privacy.

Via Manzoni — watches and department stores Armani Megastore, Vacheron Constantin, A. Lange & Söhne, Patek Philippe boutique. The serious watch street. Also the home of the historic Hotel Manzoni and the Bagatti Valsecchi museum.

How to actually plan a Quadrilatero day **Morning** (10:00–12:30): heavy buying on Montenapoleone. **Lunch** at Salumaio di Montenapoleone or Pasticceria Marchesi at the Prada Manzoni store. **Afternoon** (14:30–17:00): lighter browsing on Spiga and Sant'Andrea. **Aperitivo**: walk into [Brera](/atlas/brera-milano-evening) or up to a [Duomo-view rooftop](/atlas/milano-rooftop-aperitivo).
